Davies High School Social Studies Teacher, Coach Receives Teacher of The Year Award

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Fargo Public Schools surprised Davies High School Social Studies teacher with the 2025 Teacher of The Year award.

Bart Manson has been a teacher with Fargo Public Schools since 2008 and the Davies head boys’ basketball coach since 2010.

Following in his parent’s footsteps of becoming a teacher, Manson has been a role model for his students, staff, and staff of schools across the state.

While Manson did make a bit of a fumble with his award, he was glad his family and everyone was there to support him in his journey.

“The big message is that enjoy what you do. You know and if you got passion about something stay in it and continue to work at it. And sometimes it’ll give you something back,” said Bart Manson, Social Studies Teacher at Davies High School.

Manson will now be considered for Cass County Teacher of the Year.

That winner will move on to compete for North Dakota Teacher of the Year.
