Bison Earn Road Win at Kansas City, 78-72

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (NDSU ATHLETICS)– The North Dakota State men’s basketball team won 78-72 against Kansas City at the Swinney Center on Thursday night. NDSU improved to 17-8 overall and 6-4 in Summit League play.

Senior Jacksen Moni led NDSU with 24 points. Noah Feddersen posted 17 points and 10 rebounds for his second career double-double. Jacari White finished with 15 points and a career-high eight assists.

The Bison shot 56 percent for the game and limited Kansas City to 41-percent shooting. NDSU made 12-of-25 (48 percent) from three-point range.

Brennan Watkins hit a buzzer-beating three-pointer to give NDSU a 37-30 lead at the half.

The Bison went up 60-46 on a three-pointer by Moni with 11:40 remaining, and the 14-point lead would be NDSU’s largest of the game. The Roos cut the margin to four at 74-70 in the final minute, but NDSU went 4-for-5 at the free throw line to seal the victory.

Fifth-year senior Masen Miller reached 1,000 career points with a three-pointer for NDSU’s first basket of the game.

The Bison will play at first-place Omaha on Saturday at 1 p.m.
