Body recovered following house fire in Grant County, MN

GRANT CO., Minn. (KVRR) — One person has been found dead in a house fire in Grant County, Minnesota.

The sheriff’s office started getting reports of a large fire near Hoffman around 1 a.m.

A deputy reported that the house and nearby structures were on fire and numerous crews responded from Hoffman, Barrett, Kensington and Herman fire departments.

Deputies also learned that a person may have been home at the time of the fire.

The body was found after the fire was extinguished and an autopsy will be done to positively identify the victim.
