Thanksgiving Brings F-M Community Together
On this, a day of thanks, communities gather to celebrate the season of giving with friends and family.
An estimated 500 people came to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in West Fargo for a free traditional Thanksgiving meal. The church prepared another 600 meals for delivery, and 120 meals for Churches United.
Organizer Alice Prichard started working on the turkey and potatoes at four-thirty this morning. But she says it’s worth it to help bring the local community together.
She adds, “It’s a time for people to give, and give back to the communities.”
12-year-old Lillian Roth says of the dinner, “I’m thankful at least I’m with my family.”
This was far from the only community dinner offered today. St. Joseph’s and Trinity Lutheran Church welcomed people in Moorhead, and Stt Stephen’s Episcopal Church hosted a vegan Thanksgiving meal in Fargo.
