Celebration of Chinese Culture Comes to Fargo Public Library

The event was the fourth in the running series "Know My Culture."

FARGO, N.D. – Traditional forms of Chinese dance were just some of the ways people got a taste of Chinese culture at the Fargo Public Library this weekend.

The event was part of the “Know My Culture” series.

This particular iteration came from the North Dakota Asian-American Arts and Cultural Initiative.

It also featured a presentation on Chinese history, and a food spread with dishes from various Chinese regions.

Event organizers said it felt amazing to be able to showcase their heritage in this way.

“I feel very proud, and just very blessed to even have this opportunity here to showcase our culture to our local community,” said Annie Tangpong, President of the UCAFM.

Past “Know My Culture” events have highlighted countries such as Japan, Thailand, and the Philippines.
