Tough Economy To Blame For Closure of Family Store in Fergus Falls After 60 Years

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (KVRR) — The Salvation Army Family Store in Fergus Falls is closing after over 60 years in business.
In a social media post, they point to a tough economy and increased competition as reasons for their financial struggles.
They say it is unsustainable to keep the thrift store open.
Family Store will be closing for good on May 1.
The Salvation Army in Fergus Falls will continue to operate and provide services to Otter Tail County including their food pantry, community meals, and outreach ministries.
