David Snyder Brings Piano Talents to Home State

The viral sensation was born and raised in Thompson, North Dakota.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – David Snyder’s journey began in Thompson, North Dakota, just outside of Grand Forks. His mother insisted music be a part of her children’s lives.

“My mom had a rule in our household,” Snyder explained. “The rule was we had to take two years of piano lessons. And after the two years, you can quit. You can be done.”

But Snyder didn’t quit. He ended up taking his talents to Los Angeles – and has now hit career heights such as appearing on America’s Got Talent and opening for Snoop Dogg.

Now, he’s back on tour, and he made sure to add plenty of local appearances into the mix.

He’s performing at four area schools, from Kindred to Thompson, and he also has four concert dates open to the general public.

Snyder says that his one-man piano show encompasses the emotional impact the instrument has had on his life, and that it’s a gift to be able to share it with audiences across the country.
