Bookmarked! Brings Artistic Disciplines Together

The event showcased both book ink and skin ink in a show of solidarity for the Moorhead Public Library.

MOORHEAD, MN – Two different kinds of ink came together in a celebration of the arts at Swing Barrel Brewing.

The event was called Bookmarked! and it was largely intended to benefit Moorhead Public Library.

Representatives were on hand to sign people up for memberships and give book recommendations.

Zoltar Tattoo was there, giving flash tattoos with 40% of the proceeds going to the library.

Swing Barrel’s owner says it’s amazing to have an event space where so many people can show up and support each other.

“I feel lucky,” said Sean Syverson. “It’s just great to be part of a community that reaches out and wants to work with you, wants to make things accessible to people, and bring community together. That’s what it’s all about.”

Library reps say that getting out of the building and doing events like this really raises their visibility within the community.
