Update: Police identify victim in Moorhead homicide; Two arrests made in Michigan

UPDATE (4:08 P.M.) — The male victim from the Moorhead homicide on April 13 was positively identified by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office as 39-year-old James Hamilton. He died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Along with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, police were able identify a location where the suspect was hiding north of Ishpeming, Michigan.
Thomas III and a female accomplice, identified as 32-year-old Abby Fredrickson of Moorhead. Nationwide arrest warrants were issued and the two were both arrested during a traffic stop around noon.
They are being held in the Marquette County Michigan, Correctional Facility awaiting extradition.

 

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) – Moorhead police have identified a suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting on Sunday, April 13.

Police say 35-year-old Jerome Anthony Thomas III should be considered armed and dangerous.

Formal charges to include homicide and attempted homicide are being requested through the Clay County Attorney’s Office.

Moorhead Police Department responded to the 2700 block of 14th Street South at around 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

A male victim suffering from a gunshot wound died at the scene.

Anyone with information about Thomas’s whereabouts should contact their local law enforcement agency.

The case remains under investigation.
