Tim Bergstraser leaves MSUM for Division I Denver
MOORHEAD (KVRR) – Huge news for college basketball, as Minnesota State University-Moorhead men’s head coach, Tim Bergstraser, is leaving the program to now lead Denver University in the Summit League. After three season with the Dragons, Bergstraser had a 75-22 record which ended with a Division II Sweet Sixteen run in the 2024-25 campaign.
“I want to extend my deepest thanks to coach Bergstraser for his remarkable journey with Dragon athletics, which began in 2015 when he joined us as a graduate assistant coach,” said MSUM athletic director Chad Markuson. “Ten years ago when he started I knew there was something special about him as a coach and we are so lucky to have him share his talent with Dragon athletics over the years.”
MSUM says a national search is underway to find their next head coach.
