Man Sentenced to Federal Prison For Loaf ‘N Jug Robbery in Fargo Last March

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — The Fargo man accused of holding a knife to the neck of a worker at Loaf ‘N Jug during a robbery is sentenced.
34-year-old Lucas Tavares was given 8 years in federal prison.
He was indicted by a federal grand jury for Hobbs Act Robbery and pleaded guilty to the charge last January.
The robbery happened at the North University Drive location in March 2024.
Police detectives quickly identified Tavares as the robber and took him into custody on the same day.
