U of M Crookston celebrating half a century of bedding plant sale

CROOKSTON, MINN. (KVRR) – It’s an annual sign of spring in Crookston, and it’s been growing for 50 years.

The University of Minnesota Crookston’s Bedding Plant Sale kicked off once again Wednesday, with a massive selection of flowers, vegetables, and other plants on offer for your garden this year.

They saw big crowds on opening day, made all the more rewarding by the work the students had put into growing these plants throughout the year.

“I feel like being in an area like Crookston, where it’s a little bit isolated, being able to offer nice plants and flowers, just things that people wouldn’t really get, or have to drive a long way for, I just think it’s nice to offer that to our community.”
