ST. PAUL, Minn. (KVRR/FOX 9) — In a special election, Republican Keri Heintzeman won the Minnesota Senate District 6 seat to replace the spot left open by Justin Eichorn.
She went up against challenger Denise Slipy, the DFL candidate, in the election.
The results showed a 60 percent to 40 percent margin.
Heintzeman is the wife of Rep. Josh Heintzeman, the Minnesota House rep for the Brainerd area.
Eichorn resigned after he was arrested and charged in an underage prostitution sting in Bloomington.
