Update: ICE, Border Patrol Arrest Illegal Immigrants in Fargo

FARGO (KVRR-KFGO) – More details are being released about some recent arrests by immigration authorities in Fargo.

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman says seven men were taken into custody. An eighth person who was detained had U.S. legal status and was released.

All seven people arrested are from Mexico. They range in age from 21-60.

Agents from the U.S. Border Patrol and ICE made the arrests during a traffic stop, described as a targeted operation. The spokesman says those arrested are considered a public safety risk.

They were processed and transferred to Enforcement and Removal Operations for further action. The spokesman did not know where the men taken into custody were employed.
