North Dakota has 9 confirmed cases of measles

BISMARCK, N.D. (KVRR) — There are now nine cases of measles in North Dakota.

That number is up from the four we told you about yesterday.

North Dakota Health and Human Services says all of the new cases are people who are unvaccinated and had no reported contact with previously identified cases.

They say that people at the Williston Walmart on April 29 between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. may have been exposed.

Four of the infected people were in Williston schools while infectious.

The schools include Missouri Ridge Elementary, Williston Middle School and Williston High School.

These are the state’s first confirmed measles cases since 2011.
