Two-Day Card Show Packs West Fargo Arena
The Dakota Card Show made good use of the space at Veterans Memorial.
WEST FARGO, N.D. – The trading card hobby is alive and well, as evidenced by the huge turnout this weekend at Veterans Memorial Arena.
The Dakota Card Show set up 150 tables inside the space, which means well over 200 vendors were there showcasing their products.
There were sports and Pokemon cards, of course, but also other collectibles like signed jerseys and even rare currency.
Event staff says you never know what someone is going to be looking for when they walk through those doors and that’s a huge part of the excitement.
“It’s sweet to see what people like to collect. They come and ask you for these certain cards and you think, “Oh, no-one even wanted that,” but there’s that exact collector for that exact card,” said staffer Jacob Impola.
The organizers estimate they sold at least 1,700 tickets on Saturday, putting the total number of attendees for the weekend at well over 2,000.
