AMVets Organize Motorcycle Safety Awareness Ride
The group left Fargo around noon, heading to Wahpeton before returning to Fargo in the early evening.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Fargo Veteran riders and their motorcycle-loving brethren set off on a group ride to bring attention to motorcycle safety.
May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, so Chapter 7 of the AMVets Riders decided to organize an outing for that exact purpose.
Signup began around 9 A.M., with the bikers setting off for Wahpeton a little after noon.
Once there, they gave a short presentation on motorcycle safety, before heading for home to continue the festivities at headquarters.
AMVets representatives say they aim to inform the public that motorcycle riders are not doing anything inherently dangerous – and they just want to share the road as harmoniously as possible.
‘We are going to exert our movements, make it more obvious what we’re doing and why we’re doing it,” explained Robert Kozenskie, Vice President of Fargo AMVets.
“We are going to be traveling five miles under the speed limit, which affords motorists the opportunity to see us easier.”
The group is planning another ride on Saturday, June 7.
This one is a benefit, to raise money for the North Dakota Veterans Home in Lisbon.
