Rural Erskine, MN man found dead after crashing motorcycle about 10 miles east of Crookston

POLK CO., Minn. (KVRR) — A rural Erskine, Minnesota man is dead after crashing his motorcycle on a gravel road about 10 miles east of Crookston.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded just after 1 p.m. to County Road 38, about 1 1/2 miles north of U.S. Highway 2.

A passerby spotted the crash scene.

Deputies say 39-year-old Travis Shimpa was found laying in the ditch.

He was pronounced dead by first responders.

The crash is under investigation.
