Golfers come out swinging for Children’s Miracle Network

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Golfers gathered at Rose Creek Golf course on Monday to take part in the annual Children’s Miracle Network Golf Tournament.

This is the ninth year of the tournament.

This year the tournament is being hosted by RE/MAX Legacy Realty and Designer.

Since 2016, the tournament has raised over $240,000 for Children’s Miracle Network at Sanford Children’s Hospital.

The money goes to help with the purchase of specialized medical equipment as well as programs, research and education.

“We sell teams. As you saw today, we are at full house on teams,” said Robert Leslie, president of Designer Homes. “We have other corporate-type sponsors that come in and sponsor the different parts of the event. And all of these funds get pooled together for the grand total that gets raised. And then today there’ll be games that get played. There’s people that buy mulligans, there’s different contests, and all that money goes towards raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network.”

To date, the Children’s Miracle Network has funded over $9 billion for pediatric care.
