Man fatally shot last Friday near Red Lake, MN, suspect caught in wooded area

RED LAKE, Minn. (KVRR) — The FBI is helping investigate a fatal shooting and arrest near Red Lake, Minnesota last Friday.

Red Lake Department of Public Safety arrived around 7:15 p.m. and found a man on the ground outside of a home with a fatal gunshot wound.

It happened in the Heart Lake area, just east of Red Lake.

After an extensive search, a male suspect was found in a heavily wooded area just west of the shooting incident.

He was taken into custody and taken to Red Lake Detention Center.

The identities of the two men involved have not yet been released.
