Cooking Fire in West Fargo Damages Apartment

No-one was hurt, but the resident of the unit in which the fire started will be displaced.

WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The Northern Lights Apartments are recovering from an early-morning fire caused by a cooking incident.

At approximately 6:25 a.m. Sunday, June 29, the West Fargo Fire Department responded to 2920 Sheyenne Street for reports of a structure fire. Smoke was coming from a fifth-floor unit and the sprinkler system had been activated.

The initial cause of the fire is suspected to be cooking-related, with the cost of damages yet to be determined. There were no injuries to emergency personnel or bystanders. One resident will be displaced and several apartment units sustained water damage.
