Body of missing Wisconsin grad student found in Mississippi River

LA CROSSE, Wis. (KVRR) — The body of a missing Wisconsin grad student is discovered in the Mississippi River.
The La Crosse Police Department says that shortly before 10:30 this morning they were notified by the Houston County Sheriff’s Department that a body was found.
Eliotte Heinz, 22, has been missing since the early morning hours of July 20th. She was last seen in Downtown La Crosse.
Her body was recovered near Brownsville, Minnesota.
Police say they are continueing to investigate and are awaiting the autopsy results.
The police chief says, “This was not the outcome we had hoped for throughout this search.”
Heinz was a student at Viterbo University.
