Two Dead After Three-Vehicle Crash in Kidder County

Both of the deceased were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.

KIDDER COUNTY, N.D. – On July 25, 2025, a fatal three-vehicle crash occurred on North Dakota Highway 3 at mile marker 126 in Kidder County.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the incident began with a Pontiac G6 sideswiping a Chevy Equinox. That caused the Pontiac to become airborne, where it then crashed into a Dodge Challenger.

The drivers of the G6 and the Challenger were both not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from their vehicles due to the force of the impact. They were 36- and 61-year-old males, and were pronounced dead at the scene. There was a passenger in the Challenger – a 62-year-old man who was wearing his seatbelt. He was seriously injured, but survived, and was transported to a nearby hospital.

The driver of the Equinox, a 47-year-old man, was wearing his seatbelt as well, and sustained no injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
