Former NDSU president dies in Dickinson at 88

DICKINSON, N.D. (KVRR) — Former North Dakota State University President Jim Ozbun has died in Dickinson at 88.
He was named president of NDSU in 1988 and retired in 1995.
He had a long career in higher education at Cornell University, University of Minnesota, Kansas State University and Washington State University before he came to NDSU.
Ozbun purchased a small cattle ranch in western North Dakota after his retirement.
His funeral is scheduled for Saturday in Dickinson at 10 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church.
His family is urging people to wear green and gold to show his love for NDSU.
