Two people arrested in Stearns Co. after high-speed chase in vehicle stolen out of Fargo

STEARNS CO., Minn. (KVRR) — Two people are arrested after leading authorities on a high-speed chase through Stearns County yesterday in a stolen vehicle from Fargo.

The driver was identified as 32-year-old Melissa Torres of Moorhead.

The passenger was 21-year-old Jackson Mulder of Valley City.

Both had active arrest warrants.

An officer in St. Joseph spotted the stolen Jeep and Torres fled.

Spike strips stopped the vehicle on I-94 and Torres and Mulder ran into a swamp.

They eventually surrendered after a perimeter was set up with K9s.

Both were treated for non life-threatening injures before being taken to jail.

Torres faces additional charges of fleeing and receiving stolen property.
