Murder-Suicide in Cass County, Minnesota

Investigators say they determined this was the outcome after looking into a structure fire.

OUTING, MN (KVRR) – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office has not only identified the two people who were found deceased following a structure fire in Outing, Minnesota, but also classified the case as a murder-suicide.

At approximately 2:43 A.M. on August 13, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a structure fire on Shady Lane NE in the city of Outing. First responders found the residence fully engulfed in flames. Inside, they found the bodies of 56-year-old Connie Lea Pollock and 63-year-old Jack Eugene Pollock.

Autopsies conducted by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Connie Pollock died from a gunshot wound to the chest and Jack Pollock died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities have confirmed that this was an isolated incident and have classified it as a murder-suicide.

The incident is still under investigation by various law enforcement agencies.
