Swing Barrel Brewing Company Celebrates Five Years in Business

Owner Sean Syverson says the brewery began during the pandemic with nothing but a dream and credits the community for helping them make it as far as they have.

MOORHEAD, MN – A favorite local brewery packed its parking lot on Saturday to celebrate a special anniversary.

It’s now been 5 years in business for Swing Barrel Brewing Co. on Center Avenue in Moorhead.

To celebrate, they pulled out all the stops.

There was a stage set up for live music, Blackbird woodfire brought out their oven to make pizzas, and there was also support from local organizations like the Friends of the Moorhead Library.

Swing Barrel staff says they’ve always tried to cultivate those relationships – so seeing the community come out to celebrate meant the world.

“You surround yourself with good people, you make great connections in the community, and you try to build it up the best you can,” said owner Sean Syverson.

“Everybody comes out, we get together and we have a good party. I mean, what more could you ask for?”
