MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — Moorhead Area Public School District has launched a new website to promote its upcoming referendum.

It comes after voters rejected a capital projects levy referendum last November.

There will be two questions facing voters on November 4: one proposes an operating levy of $575 per pupil and the other is to approve a capital projects levy to generate $1.5 million annually.

Combined they would raise $5.87 million per year for ten years.

For the owner of a $250,000 home, it would mean a tax increase of nearly $24 per month starting in 2026.

Early voting begins September 19 with Election Day on November 4.
