White Earth Nation Hosts Official Grand Opening of Waabigwan Mashkiki
The dispensary has technically been open for about three months, but White Earth wanted to specially mark the occasion with festivities.

MOORHEAD, MN (KVRR) – While it has technically been open for about three months, patrons and ownership alike were still excited to hold a grand opening ceremony for White Earth’s marijuana dispensary in Moorhead.
It is the tribe’s first location outside the reservation; in the old JL Beers building along Highway 10.
White Earth Reservation Business Committee members were in attendance to mark the occasion.
There was a formal ribbon-cutting and then Lumpy’s food truck served free food on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Staff say they strive to create a welcoming customer experience.
“I think quality is huge for us, but also the experience you’re going to have here. This isn’t walking into some sketchy head shop,” explained Waabigwan Mashkiki CEO Zach Wilson.
“You’re walking into a really nice, confident, comfortable kind of setting. Budtenders are well experienced, management staff has been doing this for a really long time too, so really educated. So I think the experience you’re going to have is going to be much different than you’ll find anywhere else.”
Since the soft launch of the dispensary, White Earth has also opened one in St. Cloud with plans to expand to other locations in Minnesota.
