Bus driver in Minot, ND charged with DUI after being stopped with bus full of kids last month

MINOT, N.D. (KVRR) — A bus driver in Minot, North Dakota is charged with misdemeanor DUI with a minor after being stopped and arrested last month while driving a bus full of kids.
Court records show 65-year-old Tomas Podolski was stopped at Minot Air Force Base and was slurring his speech and had poor balance.
Podolski told the officer he had a couple drinks the night before and one that morning before his shift as a “pick me up.”
The officer found a water bottle filled with alcohol inside the bus and arrested Podolski.
He had a .214 blood-alcohol level around an hour and a half after the initial report, nearly three times the legal limit for driving.
His initial appearance is set for September 8 in Ward County.
