Off-duty officer suffers gunshot wound during critical incident in Devils Lake, ND

DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (KVRR) — An off-duty police officer in Devils Lake is being treated for a gunshot wound after a critical incident that started late last night.
Officers were sent to a home in the 300 block of 15th Avenue Southeast after a 911 hang up.
They obtained a search warrant and while carrying it out, the officer barricaded himself inside the home with a weapon.
After many hours of negotiations with Devils Lake Police and Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, a weapon was fired.
The officer was taken to the hospital for medical attention.
There is no word on their condition.
There is an ongoing investigation being conducted by North Dakota BCI.
