FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — On Tuesday, at approximately 10:46 in the morning, the Clay County Sheriff’s Department arrested Levi Larteh at a gas station in Barnesville, Minnesota. Larteh was arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in the 2700 block of 41st Street.

“The victim appears to have sustained several gunshot wounds, but we will not be able to confirm his injuries until an autopsy is completed tomorrow. Which one of our detectives will be present for,” said Capt. Matt Christensen, Criminal Investigations Division at Fargo Police.

The victim, 28-year-old Nadin Khoury, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The Fargo Police Department has been working hard to identify potential suspects and witnesses.

“We have identified several individuals who may be involved in this incident, as well as the incident from this weekend. However, I’m not in the disposition to provide those names at this time. We’re still investigating the evidence we have and continue to gather to see who may be witnesses, who might be suspects, and then who might not be involved at all,” said Christensen.

Christensen said that so far in their investigation, the shooting seems to be connected to another shooting that occurred over the weekend in the 4800 block of 38th St S. The victim is said to have been present at the scene, but further information is being investigated.

“If someone out there feels that there’s some feud or something going on and it’s going to escalate in the same fashion, as Captain Christensen said, we encourage them to call us so that we can try to intervene in that… we need people to work with us on that and recognize that firearms are not the answer to your conflicts,” said David Zibolski, Fargo Police Chief.

The arrest was made very shortly after probable cause was established. Larteh was booked into the Clay County Jail with a charge of Murder.
