Baesler announces last day as North Dakota School Superintendent

BISMARCK, N.D. (KVRR-KFGO) – North Dakota School Superintendent Kirsten Baesler’s last day on the job will be Nov. 24.
Baesler is leaving the office to become the Assistant Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education for the U.S. Department of Education. She was nominated in February and confirmed by the Senate last month.
The move was delayed due to the federal government shutdown which ended late Wednesday night.
Baesler has been North Dakota’s School Superintendent for the past 13 years.
