Minnesota House Representative announces run for Congress

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — Current Minnesota state Rep. Heather Keeler announced her run for Congress on social media.
Keeler is running for Congress in Minnesota’s 7th District to challenge republican Rep. Michelle Fischbach next November.
Keeler has been representing Moorhead as the state representative for the past five years.
On a post, she says, “After careful and prayerful consideration, I’m ready to take that same passion, dedication, and energy to Congress. I hope you’ll take this journey with me, because now more than ever we need to move from the politics of hatred and division to the politics of care and compassion.”
During office, Keeler has passed the Pathway Home Act to address homelessness, led the statewide School Attendance Task Force, secured emergency food shelf funding, and expanded SNAP access.
