Fargo Christkindlmarkt opens this Friday.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Those wanting to feel some holiday cheer will soon have a place to go in downtown Fargo.

Fargo’s Christkindlmarkt will soon be opening.

Crews were working to get things set up on Thursday.

The city held a media day, showcasing some of the foods that will be on offer this year.

Vendors gave out samples of bratwurst with grilled onions, as well as meatballs on a stick.

Anthony Bachman owns VIP Catering and was showcasing foods like bruchetta and alfredo, all made with cheese straight from the wheel.

“In previous years we’ve done other foods here. More food cart, food vendor foods and I think Folkways just wanted to go a little bit more authentic and broaden Fargo’s horizons and try a new authentic food to the German Christmas market,” Bachman said.

Christkindlmarkt festivities begin on Friday and goes through Sunday and returns for the 28th through the 30th.
