Moorhead Antiques Mall Celebrates 30 Years with Holiday Savings

They're still reeling a bit from a break-in on November 9. The culprits in that case have not yet been caught.

MOORHEAD, MN (KVRR) – The Moorhead Antiques Mall is celebrating a major anniversary – while still recovering from a recent burglary.

The Mall has been open for 30 years, and in its same location for 25.

To commemorate those anniversaries, they held a store-wide Christmas sale all weekend.

Most stalls offered at least 20 percent off their items – with shoppers also getting chances to win Christmas prizes.

Staff says this definitely increased the number of customers.

“It’s been overwhelming. Oh, my goodness,” said Mary Nelson, the owner of the Mall. “It’s a good day for a sale, and a lot of our customers who have been with us forever have shown up. Former vendors who used to be in here showed up. Yeah, it’s been a fun experience, but exhausting,” she laughed.

The break-in at the Mall occurred on November 9.

They’ve since replaced the smashed glass door, but there have still been no arrests made in that case.
