One displaced after house fire in south Fargo

FARGO (KVRR-KFGO) – One person is displaced after a house fire in south Fargo overnight on Monday.

Fargo Fire Marshal Ryan Erickson says crews responded to a fire around 12:15 a.m. at 1738 15th Street South, which is just east of Lewis and Clark Elementary School.

When firefighters arrived, they found a small, smoldering fire near a ceiling light in the kitchen. The fire was extinguished a short time later and no injuries were reported.

Portions of the ceiling had to be removed and the tenant was displaced for the night. Damage is estimated to be around $34,000.
