First responders will host annual toy drive across North Dakota

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — First Responders across the state are getting ready for this year’s Holiday Food and Toy Drive.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol, along with other First Responders in the area, will be taking charge.
They will be accepting donations at Walmart locations in Bismarck, Devils Lake, Fargo, Jamestown, Mandan, and Williston.
Last year, over 3,300 toys were donated, along with a significant amount of food.
This year, they hope to continue bringing joy to families who are in need.
“You get to see how incredibly generous the public is with what they’re willing to donate. Some people are obviously better off, and they can donate a bunch of toys, a bunch of money. Some people walk up to me and hand me the last $5 in their wallet. And that means just as much, if not more,” said Trooper Darin Malafa, North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Donations of new toys, clothing, non-perishable food items, and financial donations will be accepted across the locations.
