Numerous animals killed in Douglas County barn fire

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Minn. (KVRR) — Numerous animals are killed in a barn fire in Douglas County.

The sheriff’s office says there was a barn on fire at 4136 Utopia Drive Northwest in Garfield shortly before noon.

When crews arrived, there was visible smoke and flames. The Garfield Fire Department put out the fire.

The barn is a complete loss. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
