CROOKSTON, Minn. (KVRR) — People in need in Crookston are going to have a much happier Christmas thanks to Crookston Area Community Fund.

They donated close to $10,000 worth of essential items across the community.

The fund provided winter clothing and necessities for many Crookston Public Schools students.

Shelf-stable and kid-friendly food items were donated to support families experiencing food insecurity during the school holiday break.

Around 65% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunches.

The fund also helped those living at Oak Court Apartments by providing bedding items.
