Essentia Health announces new family medicine clinic in heart of downtown Moorhead

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — Essentia Health is expanding its care with a new family medicine clinic in the heart of downtown Moorhead.

The new clinic will open at the former Wells Fargo building at 730 Center Ave.

The 8,100-square-foot clinic will include a procedural room, laboratory, and radiology services, as well as primary care services.

Other parts of the space are being further explored with community partners.

Clinics nearby, including the walk-in-clinic in downtown and the family medicine clinic on Highway 75 South of Interstate 94, will continue to operate.

“We’ve kind of been a little bit of a healthcare desert in this downtown area. So this is going to be absolutely fantastic,” said Lisa Borgen, Moorhead City Council Member.

“It’s been in the works for some time now, so it just reignited that excitement that we all feel about expanding access to care in this community,” said Dr. Stefanie Geforh, Essentia Health West Market President.

Essentia Health estimates the clinic will open its doors by next summer.
