Burning tree pile will be visible along I-94 west of West Fargo starting Tuesday afternoon

CASS CO., N.D. (KVRR) — If you see smoke coming from the stormwater diversion channel along I-94 west of West Fargo this afternoon don’t be alarmed.

Red River Valley Alliance is burning a tree pile and it is expected to burn through the day and possibly into Thursday.

The pile is located on the north side of I-94, west of 38th Street/Exit 342.

The alliance says the burn will follow all environmental and safety precautions, aiming to minimize environmental impacts and ensure public safety.

The burn is being coordinated with local fire departments.

They also say they are committed to keeping disruptions to the public as minimal as possible.
