BNSF Stopped in its Tracks?
A railroad company is seeing a drop in freight transportation…which is stopping the train in its tracks.
BNSF parked nearly 50 locomotives in its yard off 12th Avenue North in Fargo.
A railroad spokesperson says customer volumes across a broad spectrum of commodities have dropped with declining oil prices and coal demand as the main factors in the decrease.
The company’s quarter profits fell 25 percent to the lowest level in two years.
