Preparations Underway for St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The 29th annual parade is being kicked off by runners participating in either a 5k or 10k.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The annual St. Patrick’s Day parade is coming to Downtown on Saturday – and organizers are already beginning their preparations.
The 29th annual parade kicks off at 11 A.M. in Moorhead, heading down Center and Northern Pacific avenues before turning onto Broadway.
This year, organizers have added 5k and 10k runs that actually start off the parade through those downtown streets.
They say it’s an exciting wrinkle that should add a lot of energy.
“It’s rare that you get to have a race go down Broadway anymore,” said Rocky Schneider of the Downtown Community Partnership. “So to have 300 runners start the parade a little earlier, start the vibes downtown a little bit earlier that day, I think it’ll just be really fun.”
Parking restrictions are also set to go into effect the day of the parade.
No parking will be allowed along the parade route from 6 A.M. to 2 P.M., and any vehicle parked on the route after 6 A.M. will be towed.
