City of Moorhead partners with Gate City Bank to offer low-interest loans to homeowners

MOORHEAD — Homeowners in Moorhead are now able to apply for a home improvement loan program.

The low interest loans are available through Gate City Bank.

The money can be used to fix code and structural issues, improve energy efficiency or for general property improvements.

Applicants must be the owner and occupant of the house as well as meet credit requirements.

Loan amounts can range from $10,000 to $100,000, and may have varied rates and requirements.

You can sign up for the program through October 31.

“The home needs to be assessed at no higher than $275,000. So it really targets those homes and areas where some rehab projects would really benefit the neighborhood,” said City of Moorhead Community Development Program Director Tanya Kunza.

Gate City Bank also offers the Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative in Fargo.
