Local companies take to the ice for Hope Inc. Sled Hockey Fundraiser

FARGO — Members of the local media took to the ice to once again try their hand at sled hockey.
The fundraiser allows different organizations a chance to play a game of sled hockey.
They learn how difficult it can be to play hockey while strapped to a sled while also learning how fun it can be.
The money raised goes to help fund HOPE Inc. provide adaptive team sports activities for kids & adults.
“People get into a sled and they find out that it’s very difficult. You appreciate, when you watch some of the Hope Inc. kids play, you’ll appreciate the skill level that they have. But it’s always fun to watch folk. It’s a challenge. It’s a struggle. But that’s what makes it fun,” said HOPE Inc Executive Director Bill Grommesh.
Local television personalities took to the ice, including our own KVRR team.
While KVRR failed to take home the win, they did bring home a new appreciation of the skill and talent it takes to be a sled hockey player.
