Nine people displaced after south Fargo townhouse fire
FARGO (KVRR-KFGO) – Multiple crews responded to a townhouse fire in Fargo early Tuesday morning.
Battalion Chief Chris Rasmussen says the call to 4330 47th Street S. came in shortly after 1 a.m.
“We got a call that there was a fire in a garage in a row of townhouses,” Rasmussen said. “Crews showed up, found the fire, extinguished it fairly quickly, and looked for any extension. Everyone got out of the house and surrounding houses. There were no injuries.”
Rasmussen says there were heavy flames coming from the garage when firefighters arrived.
The nine people who live in the town house are displaced. Everyone in the surrounding units will be able to stay in their homes.
Rasmussen says there were five engines and a ladder truck at the scene. Fargo Police, Sanford Ambulance, and the Salvation Army assisted.
Crews were at the scene for around three-and-a-half hours.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
