Crash shuts down I-94 west of Steele, North Dakota

STEELE, N.D. (KVRR-KFGO) – Interstate-94 was closed west of Steele, North Dakota for an injury crash involving multiple vehicles. Steele is between Bismarck and Jamestown.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 6:00 a.m. Thursday.

A semi tipped and was blocking both westbound lanes.

Troopers said the highway was expected to remain closed for an extended period of time as crews work to clear the scene and investigate the crash.

A detour is in place.
