FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – “Caturday” stretched into Sunday this weekend, with a massive cat show taking place at the Ramada in Fargo.

The Minn-Kota Cat Club, affiliated with the American Cat Fanciers Association, hosted “Cats in Hiss-Tory” on April 4 and 5.

There were cats up for adoption, vendors selling pet products, and a cat beauty competition.

The competition had four categories – and organizers say, for those unfamiliar, it’s judged similar to a dog show.

“That’s what the judges will look for, if this cat is healthy, active, good personality, good weight, good boning, and they match the written standards,” said Sheila Dewey of the Minn-Kota Cat Club.

The show saw 84 cats entered in the competition across those four categories.
