Body of missing Barnes County man missing since last Thursday found in remote area

BARNES CO., N.D. (KVRR/NEWSDAKOTA) — The body of a man missing in Barnes County since last Thursday has been found in a remote area.

Sheriff Randy McClaflin said Mark Korf didn’t return home last week after cutting wood at a rural location in Barnes County.

Searches were conducted over the weekend.

McClaflin says Korf’s body was located by a deputy driving a UTV shortly after 2 this afternoon.

The cause of death remains under investigation with the State Medical Examiners office.
